Murrells Inlet is a census-designated place (CDP) in Georgetown County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 5,519 at the 2000 census. It was once primarily a fishing village, but has built up in modern time, along with the rest of the Grand Strand into a popular tourist and retirement location. It is most known for Restaurant Row a cluster of award-winning sea food and barbecue restaurants on its Main Street.
